MOLDS: Loaf & Tube Molds

Tube Molds For Soap Making

Select from numerous unique soap making molds including our 12-inch tubes, 9-inch standard loaf mold, and mini loaf. Molds are designed for use with our colorful column (vertical) soap embeds/inserts. Pouring temperature of soap base should be between 140 to 145 degrees when using these molds. Molds are suitable for melt & pour and CP soap making. You may find it necessary to oil the inside of the tubes when pouring CP soap. DO NOT pour the soap to the top of tubes. Pour within 1 1/2 to 2" from the top to facilitate easier release. Wooden dowels in 12" lengths are useful in pushing the finished soap out of tube molds. Most lumber or hardware stores carry an assortment of different dowel diameters and will cut to a desired length.

Tubes are offered in 3 different diameters: 3 inch, 2 inch, and 1 1/2 inch. Tubes are open ended. A rubber end cap secures one end of tube.

3-inch Tube Mold

This 3" round clear tube mold offers countless creative possibilities. Holds up to 2 1/2-3  lbs. of glycerin soap. Comes with one rubber end cap. Measures 12" in length.

Insert vertical shapes, colorful soap cubes, vertical ribbon soap, or soap logs into the tube for creative soap crafting.  For best release results, allow poured soap to set overnight before trying to remove from mold and only pour within 1 1/2 to 2" from top of tube. Mold may also be placed in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to assist with release. CAUTION: Repeated freezer use can cause mold to become brittle and crack.

To Release Soap: Remove end cap. Gently roll and press on tube to release air pockets. Carefully push soap out end of tube. Cut soap into 1-inch thick slices.

4 Pound Wooden Loaf Mold

4-pound Wooden Loaf Mold   Lined Wooden Loaf Mold

Holds 4 pounds of soap. Use for HP (hot process) and CP (cold process) soap making. Inside dimensions 14" x 3 1/4 x 3 1/4" high. Handcrafted from quality pine.

Line the mold with freezer paper. No part of the wooden box should be visible once the box is lined; particularly if using melt and pour soap soap base. If any portion of MP soap base touches the wood it will be nearly impossible to demold. Our clear plastic loaf molds work best with MP soap base. HP and CP soap has some shrinkage during the curing process and demolds easily when the freezer paper completely covers the inside of box.

Once the mold is filled, cover the soap with plastic wrap and then place the lid on top (CP and HP soap making only). Plastic wrap and lid are not necessary for melt and pour soap. When the soap is covered in this way, it will not need insulation while curing. Clean the mold by scraping with a putty knife or by wiping with a damp cloth. Do not soak in water.
