Soap Making Products: Liquid Gel Metallic Soap Colors

Metallic Soap Making Pigments | Colors

Non-bleeding liquid gel colors. An ideal choice for making soap embeds/inserts. Experience the shimmering effects of Mica. These colorants work best when used with clear soap base or for adding shimmering effects to other liquid gel colors. Safely colors lotion, shower gel, bath salts, MP & CP soaps. Cosmetic Grade. One ounce colors approximately 8 pounds of soap to a medium shade.

These colors can be used to paint soaps.

Using a dry brush, lightly dust the soap surface with cornstarch for better paint adhesion. Paint has a tendency to pull away from oily surfaces, such as soap. This is especially true of melt and pour soaps. CP (cold process) soaps tend to have more of a porous surface and paint adheres better. We recommend using professional artist brushes in smooth, even strokes. Allow painted surface to dry for 15 minutes (we suggest overnight) before applying a second color layer. Do not wrap painted soaps for at least 24 hours to avoid paint pulling away from soap surface.

White Sparkle Adds sparkle to transparent melt and pour soap. Not recommended for other applications as it can't be seen unless light is passing through the product. Add this sparkley white mica to other liquid gel colors for a shimmering effect. Non-bleeding. Stable in all kinds of soap making.

Antique Silver
A dark silver with black undertones. Stable in all types of soapmaking. Non-bleeding.

Antique Copper
A copper color with black undertones. Stable in all types of soapmaking. Non-bleeding.

Antique Gold
A aged gold with black undertones. Color is stable in all kinds of soap making. Non-bleeding.

Radiant Gold (pictured top of page)
A deep rich gold, with shimmery mica. Much lighter in shade compared to the Antique Gold. Stable in all types of soapmaking. Non-bleeding.

Sparkle Gold
A soft gold with extra sparkle. Best used in transparent applications. Stable in all types of soapmaking. Non-bleeding.

Polished Silver
A sparkly silver, much brighter in color than the Antique Silver. Stable in all types of soapmaking. Non-bleeding.

(Many of these same colors are available in powder form. We do not recommend powders when coloring melt and pour soap. It does not mix well and color clumping can occur. Powder colors are best used in CP soaps or for dusting the surface of melt and pour soaps.)
