Mold Stand
A mold stand for 3-D soap crafting. Stand is 6 inches long and is used to keep 3-D mold in an upright position when pouring soap. See our 3-D soap crafting project for information about 3-D soap making.
How to Use:
Several of our Novelty Type Molds can be used for 3-D soap crafting. You need 2 cavities to make 3-D soaps, a front side and a back side. You will need to cut out these cavities from the novelty sheet mold. Be careful to leave a minimum of 1/2 inch around the outside of each cavity. You will need this 1/2 inch border to tape or clip the front and back sides together to form one unit.
Visit the 3-D soap crafting project for additional information. Once you have formed a one-piece mold (by joining the two halves), slide the mold into the mold stand. You may want to rest the mold/and stand between two weighted objects to keep the mold in a completely upright position. The weight of the poured soap may cause the mold to lean slightly. The weighted objects ensure the mold remains upright.
